'Tis the season! Do you have a pup or pet parent you are looking to spoil this holiday season? I have rounded up some of my favorites for this holiday gift guide, and no, they aren't allll things that I make, although a couple might be ;)
Collars & Leashes
I think a collar with a built in name tag is a great way to go for a holiday gift. Nameplate is linked, and can be added to most of the waterproof collars! It is a great way to simplify a pet owner's life when getting their dog ready for an excursion. Also looks super classy and reduces pet tag jingling.
Okay, okay, I make this one too. But every dog-walking pet parent out there needs a hands-free leash. It's life changing.
Supplies
Large Water Dispenser
An adult mid-size dog should be drinking around a 0.5 gallon of water per day, more or less depending on their weight and activity for the day, etc. If you get a gravity water bowl, with stainless bowl and BPA free container, you can fill the bowl once a day and ensure they receive adequate hydration. Dehydration can effect red blood cell count, ask me how I know... There are many options out there, I personally went with a fully stainless steel fountain style, but there are also gravity water dispensers which don’t plug in!
I used to be the dog mom that had to buy a new bed every few months, but not since I discovered DogBed4Less! These orthopedic beds come with waterproof covers and a durable outer cover which can be removed for easy washing. Due to the waterproof liner, the orthopedic mattress doesn't get stinky. The beds are also sized for common wire crate sizes for easy fitting. I swear by these! I have had mine since 2021. The only downside is no bolster, but the reduced waste by having beds that actually last is worth it.
This is my favorite water bowl for the car. It doesn't collapse, but it is flexible and is really good at not spilling. Ours has so far lasted since 2018.
Toys
If you have a dog that destroys toys very easily and needs a slightly more durable one to play with, I like the Ruff Dawg toys because they come with a lifetime guarantee. Once it is ruined, simply fill out the guarantee form and mail it back for a replacement (more details on their website).
And of course, some of our most favorite toys - BarkBox! They are well made, creative, and come with tasty treats. But the boxes are customizable if you need more of a certain type of toy or no treats/toys only. My dogs love receiving this box in the mail, and I can't think of a better holiday gift! Double your first box using the link above, available on subscriptions of 6 or 12 months.
Happy pawlidays!
